The Carolina Panthers held ceremonial ribbon cuttings today at three playgrounds at elementary schools in Charlotte, NC that feature Challenge Courses by GameTime. The courses are part of the Panthers Play 60 initiative in Charlotte and were constructed by Cunningham Recreation for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools at Landsdowne Elementary, River Oaks Academy and Steele Creek Elementary.

"These new playgrounds are going to serve thousands of children and provide new and exciting opportunities for active play, while encouraging kids to get 60 minutes of daily physical activity, which is one of the key elements of the NFL's Play 60 program," Panthers director of community relations Riley Fields stated on the Caroline Panthers website. "Studies show healthy and active students are more alert in the classroom, which supports the importance of providing children with resources like the Play 60 challenge courses."

Challenge Course is exclusive to GameTime and combines obstacle course events with precision timing systems and a mobile app to encourage children, adults and families to be more active outdoors. It's a fun, social fitness experience for all generations.
