Last month, Brooklyn Park in Plymouth, Minnesota prepared for a new playground by sending their existing play structures overseas with Kids Around the World, a nonprofit that restores used play equipment for children in disadvantaged countries. Volunteers from nearby Wayzata Evangelical Free Church disassembled the two GameTime play systems so they can be refurbished and repainted. Because of the durable and recyclable materials used in GameTime play systems, these structures are expected to provide nearly two more decades of play in their new location.

Since 1994, Kids Around the World has worked with charities, churches, companies and individuals who want to donate playgrounds abroad. Since 2010, Kids Around the World has installed about 260 used sets in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean Islands and Africa.
