Leading the Way for Inclusive Play

GameTime, a leading manufacturer of commercial playground equipment and designer of inclusive play and recreation spaces, will be an exhibitor at the 2017 National ADA Symposium in Chicago (Rosemont) Illinois May 14-17, 2017. The four-day event is a comprehensive conference on the Americans with Disabilities Act and is designed to provide the latest information on ADA regulations and guidelines, implementation strategies, and best practices through dynamic, interactive sessions.

GameTime is a long-standing sponsor and exhibitor at the conference. “We work with communities around the world to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play together," said Kent Callison, Director of Marketing at GameTime. “This symposium is an essential educational summit for accessibility and inclusion advocates. We'll be providing attendees with resources to plan and design inclusive recreation spaces, and share examples of how communities are demonstrating a commitment to inclusive play.”

The GameTime exhibit includes examples of playgrounds designed using the 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design™, as outlined in the Me2 program. Me2 was created in partnership with PlayCore and Utah State University, Center for Persons with Disabilities. It is a comprehensive best-practice guide for designing inclusive playgrounds that benefit the whole child. GameTime will also be sharing information on how communities can design inclusive play spaces that are added to a national register and designated as National Demonstration Sites for Inclusive Play.
