Gym memberships are expensive – that might be why 36% of U.S. adults don’t engage in any fitness activity in their leisure time, according to an article posted on BetterTennessee.com.
That’s why GameTime worked with the Trust for Public Land and the City of Chattanooga to build Fitness Zones in areas of Chattanooga with some of the highest rates of stroke, diabetes, and cancer.
“Those were our priority areas,” said Jasmin Rippon, Tennessee TPL director. “And we chose sites next to recreation centers, because we knew there would be staff who would bring people to the Fitness Zones and help them learn how to use the equipment.”
GameTime and parent company PlayCore worked closely with Chattanooga and TPL build three new fitness zones.
