Local Children's Museum Sparks Young Imaginations Through Outdoor Play

While GameTime brings play across the country, we always embrace opportunities in our own backyard. When Chattanooga's Creative Discovery Museum wanted to expand and create a permanent outdoor installation, we were thrilled to collaborate with this local organization and help bring their vision to life.

Together, GameTime and the Creative Discovery Museum created the TreeHouse Adventure, a multi-pod themed environment where children can learn about the weather, engage in sensory play, and let their imaginations run wild with a new adventure every visit. This imaginative play space allows children to explore the wonders of the natural world, with hands-on activities that inspire a love for lifelong learning. 

• The Gathering House: Located on the roof and fully wheelchair accessible, this rustic hut features built-in wooden furniture and appliances for an immersive play experience.
• The Weather Pod: Offers a hands-on scientific experience, where guests can use their senses to observe current weather conditions, identify clouds, read weather instruments, and document their findings. 
• The Relaxation Pod: Invites visitors to unwind while taking in the surrounding views. It features curio boxes filled with natural woodland, seascape, and man-made items, providing a soothing sensory experience
• The Reflection Pod: Crank the color wheel to experience a colorful array of light within the pod, or engage with an air cannon to create dynamic movement along a shimmering gold reflection wall.
• The Observation Nest: Visitors can imagine themselves as birds perched atop a swaying treetop, enjoying a breathtaking 360-degree view of downtown Chattanooga

 Through the creation of the Treehouse Adventure, the Creative Discovery Museum and GameTime have provided Chattanooga's youth with an innovative environment to learn and grow. This unique space encourages creativity, sparks adventure, and fosters new friendships, giving children a fun place to connect with the world around them.
