To continue our celebration of National Playground Safety Week, GameTime is presenting a webinar on playground surfacing free of charge. This webinar covers a broad range of topics, including the various types of surfacing available for play and fitness spaces, requirements for installation, compliance with ASTM standards and research and resources about the importance of adequate safety surfacing.
Data from National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) shows the leading cause of playground injuries (70%) involve improper or inadequate safety surfacing. Selecting the right type of surfacing for your project may greatly reduce the risk of injury and will improve the play experience for all users. To help people better understand the need for adequate playground surfacing and how to choose the best options, GameTime enlisted the help of GTImpax, a PlayCore company. They prepared a 22-minute webinar to inform and educate parks professionals, city planners, maintenance staff and others who are interested in playground safety.
