Adding Inclusive Playground Elements
Want to build an inclusive playground, but not sure how? Check out this awesome park located in Dalton, Georgia, that blends awesome inclusive elements with exhilarating slides and climbers.
Our playground experts designed this playground at James Brown Park in north Georgia to be fun for everyone. The spiral tube slides add theme-park levels of excitement, while the new Sensory Wave Climber and inclusive merry-go-round, the Merry Go All, supplement the play system.
This playground has PIP, or poured-in-place rubber, safety surfacing, which helps make it accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. The playground roofs look cool -- AND keep kids cool.
Goals
- Add inclusive elements so kids of all ages and abilities can enjoy the playground
- Poured-in-place rubber (PIP) surfacing is easy to walk, roll, or crawl on -- and the colors blend beautifully into the park
- Features climbers, merry go rounds, slides, and ramps
