Never Give Up!
Building a new playground at Weller Elementary seemed like an impossible goal. There wasn't any money in the budget for a new playground, and there were language barriers to overcome. But there was also a determination among community members to create a special place for students and families. In the end, determination overcame the obstacles and proved Play Has No Limit.
Designed using the principles found in Play On!, published by SHAPE America and PlayCore, the playground is recognized as a National Demonstration Site for Youth Physical Activity.
