Recycled Bonded Rubber
Surfacing
Bonded Rubber is an attractive, seamless surface consisting
of shredded recycled rubber tires, polyurethane binder and organic pigmented
color, coated with an environmentally friendly sealant. Bonded Rubber is
available in three multi-tonal colors, and in some areas, provides a lower
cost option than other seamless surfaces. It does not absorb water, and
will not freeze. It's a great option for paths and walkways.
Installation must be performed by technically trained,
GameTime certified installers, and requires specific depth, slope and tolerance
of the base materials. Installation must not take place if the temperature
falls below 40 degrees. Thicknesses are varied to meet specified critical
fall heights within the playground. The product is porous to allow free
flow of water, so it doesn't puddle, and is always ready for play.
